Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan commanded the runway at Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris 2026, the label’s annual walk during Paris Fashion Week, on September 29, 2026. Marking over two decades as a L’Oréal Paris global ambassador, the actor closed out another headline-making appearance on the French capital’s runway.
Rai wore a custom black velvet gown by Syrian couturier Yara Shoemaker, featuring sculptural detailing and intricate three-dimensional fringe embroidery, layered under a crystal-embellished sweeping cape. She completed the look with a diamond-encrusted crown, adding a regal edge to the silhouette.
The standout element of the appearance was her hair: bold, fiery burgundy-red waves with face-framing layers, styled by celebrity hairstylist Mohit Rai. The look was rounded off with winged eyeliner, rouged cheeks and a red lip.
Rai walked as part of an international line-up of L’Oréal Paris ambassadors that included Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Simone Ashley, Celine Dion, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Cara Delevingne and Andie MacDowell, and closed the show walking hand-in-hand with Jenner.
Rai was crowned Miss World in 1994 before building a three-decade career across Indian and international cinema, and has been a fixture on the Cannes and Paris Fashion Week circuits as a L’Oréal Paris ambassador since 2004. Her Paris Fashion Week 2026 look is already being called one of her most striking runway moments yet.
